Overview
Supporting the poorest and most excluded
One World Action supports the poorest and most excluded communities in Africa, Asia and Latin America. We do this by helping build the capacity of people’s organisations and social movements such as organisations of disabled women and men, people living with HIV/AIDS, Dalits, women workers, grassroots trade unions, and urban slum communities. We support people’s organisations to assert their rights, participate in decision-making and access basic services. Unless decision-making processes include the most socially excluded and marginalised, discrimination and injustice will persist. Supporting them to participate in formal and informal politics enables them to articulate their needs and ensure that their interests are addressed and their human rights respected.
