One World Action supports women’s organisations and movements to remove barriers that exclude women from political participation, to enable women to be effective political actors and, ultimately, to increase women's representation in formal politics. We campaign on violence against women as an issue of governance. In partnership with institutions and networks, we support action research to develop tools for women and men to monitor government and international commitments to gender equity and equality. We promote women’s rights and political participation through gender budgets, campaigning for gender equity in international trade and for the full implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
