Trustees (voluntary)
One World Action works with partner organisations in Africa, Asia and Latin America, and Eastern Europe to create opportunities for marginalized women and men to transform their own lives. Womens' rights is central to our work.
We wish to recruit three new members to join our board of trustees.
We need people who can help direct One World Action towards achieving its vision and strategic goals and to ensure effective management, accountability and governance.
You would need to be able to make a commitment to One World Action attending four trustee meetings a year and participate in other activities to progress our work from time to time, have strategic vision, independent and creative thinking. You would be an ambassador for One World Action, with experience and skills in the one or more of the following areas:
networking and relationship building to gain support with particular experience with corporates and trusts;
qualified accountant ((potential future treasurer when existing treasurer stands down in 2012)
fundraising expertise;
experience in human resources;
broad expertise in IT, e-communications, marketing and social media.
The successful candidates must be committed to the mission and values of One World Action. We particularly welcome applications from people with experience and knowledge of international development and strongly welcome candidates with disabilities and with connections with regions where we work.
