As a result millions of women and men are better off and speaking out, and their lives and societies have improved.
For example the simple introduction of Braille ballot papers by our partner in El Salvador meant that 15,000 blind people voted for the first time."
At the end of March 2011 the majority of One World Action’s projects – funded with money from institutional donors – came to an end.The remaining income, a combination of funded projects in Africa and Asia and regular donations, was not enough to cover the costs of running the organisation.
To avoid insolvency and to save the remaining few projects, the trustees to responsibly manage the closure of the organization and to find appropriate homes for current projects with similar organisations.
One World Action is proud to have played a vital role in shaping these changes. Although we will be closing doors at the end of October 31 2011 we want to share some of the work that has been made possible with your help.
