100 Women Campaign, The Unseen Powerful Women Who Change The World
Central to One World Action's success has been building women's leadership internationally – working with our partners and parliamentarians to empower women so that their voices are heard, their rights observed, and their choices respected.
The More Women More Power campaign aimed to raise awareness and build support for women's rights. We called UK citizens to action, asking like-minded individuals to come together and join our network of Women's Rights Champions - to use their voices here to amplify the voices of the women around the world who are fighting to be heard.
The Unseen Powerful Women who Change the World campaign asked individuals and organisations to nominate women around the world who have overcome obstacles to do great things for their families, communities and societies, but without the recognition they deserve. Complementing existing lists of rich and powerful women, One World Action wanted to highlight innovative models of leadership and the powerful women who are the driving force behind them. The 100 women in the final list come from 40 countries and span an extraordinary and inspirational range of activity in the areas of public service; arts and media; business and entrepreneur; and human rights.
